Perry has had a passion for dog training for as long as she can remember. Although she grew up with dogs from a young age, Perry always had a desire to have a dog of her very own. At 17 years old, Perry’s dream became a reality when she acquired Billy, a German Shepherd - Siberian Husky mix who helped pave her way into professional dog training.
After working with Billy through various issues for over a year, Perry realized she did not have the knowledge it took to train Billy on her own and she enlisted the help of a local training facility. Upon completion of the training program Perry was offered a job where she gained a wealth of experience reading canine body language and understanding dog behavior through working hands-on with hundreds of dogs.
The more Perry learned, the more she desired to learn and in order to quench her thirst for knowledge, Perry began to spend all of her free time researching and practicing training Billy and any dog she could get her hands on. When Perry discovered the potency of positive training there was no turning back!
Perry is certified by the Certification Counsel for Professional Dog Trainers and frequently attends conferences and seminars around the country where she continues to develop a deeper understanding of dog behavior and training. Perry is very involved in dog sports and also has a passion for teaching dogs tricks and complex behaviors.
