Behavior Modification / Problem Solving
Dealing with behavior problems is a delicate issue that can be very physically and emotionally tiring for both canines and humans. Although management is certainly an option—and frequently part of the solution—a dog with behavior problems is usually not a happy dog. Even if you feel that you can manage your dogs issues, it is worthwhile to try to modify the problems as well as manage them so that you alleviate a lot of your dogs stress, and in turn, your own stress.
Even if it feels like the issue is too severe and there's no solution, it is always worth a try to see if the behavior can be changed, so you know you have done everything you can to try to help your best friend. Trying to troubleshoot and "guess" why your dog is having problems and then take a chance on a possible solution can be very dangerous and/or damaging to a dog. The last thing you need is to make the problem worse. We use only gentle and humane methods to help your dog learn and begin to make changes at his or her own pace. Whatever the issue, we can get you started on the road to recovery. As long as you are dedicated to helping your dog, progress will be made.
Some common issues include:
- Aggression Towards Humans or Animals
- Resource Guarding
